About Wall Of Sound PR

Established in August 2012 and based in Liverpool in the UK, Wall Of Sound PR is a boutique public relations and digital marketing agency focusing on creating a diverse and interesting roster of alternative and underground music—that means we’ve an ear for the unusual, and an open mind; whether it’s punk, metal, alternative rock, math rock, post-rock, jazz, hip hop, noise, pop, electronica—you name it, as long as it’s good we probably dig it. Since our inception, we’ve worked on hundreds of record releases, as well as providing bespoke PR campaigns for brands, events, media personalities and music-related businesses.

Our staff all come from an independent music industry background spanning roles in promotion, digital marketing, booking, artist management, record labels, event production, journalism and time spent as professional touring and recording musicians, giving us an innate and broad understanding of the music industry at large.

Publications we work with include:

Whilst we specialise primarily in online and print press coverage for alternative music, we can also work specialist radio and TV plugging and we’ve previously secured track plays and live sessions with the following:

We’re also looking to the future of PR and marketing in the digital age, and working increasingly with editorial teams at digital service providers like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, VEVO, Soundcloud, and Bandcamp. Introduced in 2019, our new digital marketing services can also help take the hassle out of social media management, and help you to grow your fan base organically, creating meaningful and impactful relationships with your audience, whilst converting interactions and engagement into tangible sales of your music, merchandise, and tickets.

We are always happy to speak about creating tailored campaigns for clients, taking into consideration price and budget, and are flexible on rates for independent and unsigned acts.

“I’ve worked with Wall of Sound PR on a couple of campaigns over the past year and have nothing but good things to say. Extremely communicative, reliable and creative, we couldn’t have asked for more and look forward to working together on other projects in the future”

Kev Douch
Big Scary Monsters Records

“Working with Wall of Sound PR has been a great experience for us, and it’s rare that we’ve worked with a more industrious never-say-die PR. Efficient, bloody lovely and getter of great results – we would recommend them to anyone”

Jack Pop
Alcopop! Records

"Wall Of Sound PR were one of the first companies I started to work with as a writer and they have always been incredibly easy to work with. After progressing to the editor role, we maintained a great working relationship and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wall Of Sound PR to artists looking to get more promotion and coverage for themselves”

Natalie Humphries
Editor - Soundscape Magazine

“All at Wall Of Sound PR are wonderful to work with, their enthusiasm and passion only mirrored by their dedication to a notable blend of emerging and established talent. It’s always exciting to see who they will be representing next”

Ben Tipple
Editor - Ticketmaster Blog

"[Wall of Sound PR] killed it on the campaign. The more people I come across that have worked with them the more it seems like they are one of the good guys in a swampy industry”

Vlad Matveikov
Small Pond Recordings

“I’m so thankful for your work on this campaign. It far exceeded my expectations. I’m very wary of publicists, but you all have been really amazing”

Mike Park
Asian Man Records
