HAARM Release Latest Al Groves-Produced Single ‘Tell Me What You Want’ Out Now

6th March 2020

Following on from the recently-released ‘Dahlia’, Liverpool’s crack alt-pop songwriting team HAARM continue their unrelenting assault on playlists everywhere with the release of new single ‘Tell Me What You Want’, out now on all good digital service providers.

The news comes alongside the recent announcement of two rare live performances from the trio—one as part of fellow Scousers Circa Waves’ forthcoming Circafest on 4th April 2020 (alongside Pizzagirl, Zuzu, The Mysterines and more), and the other a very special intimate hometown headline show on 22nd May 2020 at The Kazimier Stockroom.

Starring actor Liv Szczeblewska-Moore, the video for the single was directed and produced by Liverpudlian film director Daniel J Fitzimmons, winner of Best New Filmmaker Award at the Boston Science Fiction Festival for his Netflix-syndicated film ‘Native’.

“We first collaborated with Daniel on the video for our 2018 single ‘Better Friend’”, say the band of the new single. “The song is about the tensions, paranoia, and miscommunication that can happen in relationships, resulting in the frustrated ultimatum of the chorus: tell me what you want.”

Produced and mixed by Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon, Paris Youth Foundation, Michael Kiwanuka) at the legendary Motor Museum recording studios on Lark Lane, Liverpool—which has given rise to smash hit records from The 1975, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, and many more—the track is the first of two singles that the trio have worked on with Groves, with the second to be revealed in due course.

The artwork for the single once again comes from long-time collaborator and ex-Hot Club de Paris front man Paul Rafferty, who also recently announced his new Doomshakalaka solo project on Moshi Moshi Records.

After a short period of rest and regrouping for the trio in the wake of the sad loss of a close personal friend (marked by the trio’s last release, 2018 single ‘Better Friend’) a series of changes in the members’ personal lives have lead to a desire to focus all of their energies on HAARM—something which shines through in the quality and flair of the latest offerings from this expert songwriting team, exponentially improving with each fresh release.

HAARM will announce further new music and live dates for 2020 in due course.

HAARM live:

04.04.20 – Liverpool – Zanzibar (Circafest)
15.04.20 – Manchester – Band On The Wall (Shell Zenner’s Free Vibes)
22.05.20 – Liverpool – The Kazimier Stockroom
