Liverpool Music Week 2017 Reveal Further Line Up Additions

1st September 2017

Liverpool Music Week are delighted to announce that EVERYTHING EVERYTHING will be the headliners for this year’s outing of the now-legendary LMW Closing Party, with the Manchester quartet having just released their critically acclaimed fourth studio album A Fever Dream, produced by Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford.

On a never-ending quest to bring experimentation and creative ambition back to pop music, the new album crashed in at #5 on the official UK charts, taking the band into a league of their own and establishing them still further as one of the most progressive, inventive and exciting bands in British music.

Taking place across multiple rooms and stages on 4th November at the Liverpool Guild of Students, they’ll be joined by Heavenly Recordings chillwave/surf-pop tinged indie trio THE ORIELLES and rising Paisley grime MC SHOGUN alongside the previously revealed AJ TRACEY, ZOLA JESUS and PERFUME GENIUS, all pointing towards another unforgettable closing night for the festival.

A further round of line-up additions also join the bill, following last month’s announcement that this year’s Opening Party headliners will be disco legends CHIC feat. NILE RODGERS.

London neo-soul outfit JUNGLE announce their long-awaited resurrection with what’s set to be a festival highlight in the cavernous industrial surroundings of Invisible Wind Factory on 1st November, whilst Jamaican reggae legend DAWN PENN will be gracing the stage at District for a splash of rocksteady riddim on 2nd November

DAN CROLL returns to his familiar university-days stomping grounds with his heartfelt songbook at the Arts Club Theatre on 29th October, before BLANCK MASS brings his brooding, bleak electronica to 24 Kitchen Street on 31st October.

London trio KERO KERO BONITO take their J-pop and dancehall inspired indie pop to the stage at Heebie Jeebies on 28th October, and down in the Baltic Triangle ABSTRACT ORCHESTRA will be keeping 24 Kitchen Street’s hip hop credentials burning brightly on 29th October, as they play the legendary Madvillain’s (MF DOOM and Madlib) iconic debut album Madvillainy in full.

Last but not least, and one of the hottest tickets on the bill, rising superstar PRINCESS NOKIA will be joined on 3rd November by the freshly announced GAIKA presents THE SPECTACULAR EMPIRE and Philadelphia’s MOOR MOTHER, whose work has variously been labelled “hardcore poetry”, “power electronics”, “slaveship punk”, and “protest music”.

All this leaves the line-up revealed to date as:
