Bristol progressive math-rock band LAST HYENA are delighted to announce a run of co-headline August/September 2021 UK tour dates with Baton Rouge, Louisiana prog/math instrumental band Catbamboo.
Pending any further COVID-19 disruption, the band are also confirmed for ArcTanGent Festival 2021, PWER Festival, and Burn It Down Festival.
The trio also recently recorded a special live version of lead single ‘Doctorpus’ for The Dropoff Sessions, which is available to watch now: https://youtu.be/aEURTeDlDMU
The track is taken from their recently-released critically acclaimed debut album How Soon Is Mars?, the first physical LP release from Cardiff independent label Stereo Brain Records.

The album was brought to life at Trapdoor Studios in Liverpool with producer Tom Peters (Wot Gorilla?, Alpha Male Tea Party, The Hyena Kill, Cleft, Body Hound) at the helm, a period which the band described as “non-stop creative process from start to finish. We spent a solid week in the recording studio trying to make the album sound as big as possible.”
How Soon Is Mars? received widespread praise from key experimental music tastemakers including Heavy Blog, Fecking Bahamas, HARD BEAT, Punktastic, Everything Is Noise, Alt Corner, Bring The Noise and more.
Debut album How Soon Is Mars? is out now via Stereo Brain Records
