LEWIS Shares Surrealist New Video For ‘The End’

26th March 2021

French prog/psych newcomer LEWIS (aka Lewis Feraud) is pleased to reveal the official video for his latest single ‘The End’ which is out now on all good streaming platforms. The track is the latest to be taken from his debut solo album Inside, which is released today via Klonosphere.

The video was directed by Thomas Lefuret and Tom Spectrum, aka Leda Atomica Musique, a collective of artists from Marseille who took a break from broadcasting concerts and shows at their community hall on Rue Saint Pierre (La Plaine) to continue their musical and audiovisual production activity.

Taking influence from his background in musical psychology and the surrealist French cinema movement of the 20th century, ‘The End’ marks Feraud’s willingness to explore new forms of questioning, both in his music and in his artistic collaborations.

With a continuity of soul, the video for ‘The End’ marks an important turning point—from the galleries of luminous portraits in the first two clips follow darker and more marked tones, a staging which mixes epic enchantment and disturbing cabaret in a great surrealist psychoanalysis.

As for LEWIS himself, he appears as a tormentor of the central character, asking insoluble questions…

“Theatrical ghosts, TV men, mad scientists—” enthuses Feraud of the video, “—a whole bestiary of delirious characters unfolds on the path of John, a singular character who emerges from a fridge to unravel the secrets of his unconscious and, perhaps, solve an artistic anguish.”

Feraud’s forthcoming debut album Inside is out now, and has received a flurry of praise for it’s forward-thinking and experimental approach from key figures in the prog world including PROG Magazine, Rolling Stone France, Psychedelic Baby, Prog Wereld, Progzilla, At The Barrier, The Soundboard and more.

Feraud is already working on his second album.
