Liverpool’s THE DSM IV Announce UK Tour Dates + New Single ‘Killers of the Dream’
Formed in Liverpool, dark industrial pop trio THE DSM IV are pleased to announce their return with new single ‘Killers of the Dream’ released 28th July 2026.
The track is the first new material from the band since the release of their 2025 EP, NEGATIVE UTOPIA, via local independent label heroes 9×9 Records, available on vinyl and all good digital service providers.
Mixed and produced by Ciaron Bell and THE DSM IV in Merseyside, the new single is another charisma-soaked slice of social commentary from the band’s enchanting front man Guy McKnight, all wrapped up in their signature marriage of programmed drums, synths and a wash of guitar.
Commenting on the track, McKnight says: “Killers of the Dream is a song for people who care for real music. It’s about the eternal fight between denial and belief in the endless possibilities of life. The absurdity of conformity. Remembering how to think for yourself. The different tools we use to try to express ourselves and communicate with the world we live in. We hope you enjoy the wondrous video by artist Jacob E. Bell—it mixes moments from one of our shows, performance, and animation.”
Following an EU support tour with Humanist and UK support tour with Benefits in late 2025, THE DSM IV kicked off 2026 with headline dates plus UK support dates with Insecure Men and Ladytron, with festival appearances at Louder than War Fest, Supersonic Block Party in Paris, and a Love Thy Neighbor party during Alt Escape.
Alongside the single, the trio are delighted to announce a run of summer/autumn 2026 UK live dates including headline shows, support slots with Annie-Claude Deschenes, Yaang, and Boy Kill Boy, and an appearance at Scotland’s Outwith Festival (see below for listings), with tickets on sale now.
