North East, UK-based alt-rock/post-hardcore quartet Mira Disconnect are pleased to announce their new EP Entangled, set for release on 4th November 2026.

The EP was recorded at Steel City Studios, Sheffield, and was produced by Callum Benson and Tom Hewson, mixed by Callum Benson, engineered by Callum Benson and J Lambert, and mastered by Callum Benson.

Hot on the heels of a BBC introducing live session with Jericho Keys, the band recently released the official video for lead single ‘I.D.A’ which is out now on all good digital service providers.

Commenting on the track, front man Tom Hewson says: “‘I.D.A’ is a reaction against the toxic wellness culture telling us to just ‘breathe through’ our panic. Anxiety isn’t aesthetic, and it isn’t gentle. We tore up our usual songwriting formula, letting the main riff directly mirror that internal panic, because we wanted to capture how grotesque and overwhelming total disconnection actually feels. It’s an anti-comfort song.”

Hailing from the shifting tides of the Humber tidal estuary separating Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, Mira Disconnect are a four-piece powerhouse that bridges both the gap between the North and South banks, and the grit of the 90s with the polished energy of 21st century alt-rock and post-hardcore.

Started in 2022 as a solitary creative outlet for frontman Tom Hewson, the project quickly evolved into a fully fledged outfit. After the release of their 2023 debut EP, Friends Making Friends, it became clear that these songs needed much more than just a studio: they needed to be performed live. Hewson tapped into the local scene, recruiting a line up of seasoned musicians to transform a solo project into a live unit, and Mira Disconnect was born.

The band’s blueprint is simple but devastatingly effective: huge riffs, cinematic choruses, and hooks that refuse to leave your head. Proving their chops once more on 2024 follow-up EP, Affinity Aversion, standout single ‘Loaded Breath’ became an immediate streaming favourite, capturing the band’s knack for blending raw emotional weight with arena ready production.

Handling all of their creative in-house, the band’s members aren’t just musicians; from meticulously tracking their own records to producing their own music videos, they’ve maintained total creative control, faithfully bringing Hewson’s vision for the project to life.

With further live dates and new music to be announced over the coming months, the band are finally ready to step beyond the borders of their local scene and put their songs where they rightfully belong—on the stage, in front of a national audience.
