Liverpool garage-tinged psych-pop quartet, Strange Collective, have revealed a brand new video for their single ‘Heavy’ which is out now and can be purchased on iTunes here.

The artfully-shot black-and-white video finds the boys indulging in that most delightful of pastimes: eating in the shower. As their meals dissolve into a soggy mess, with band members looking somewhat shell-shocked by the water temperature, it’s hard not to notice that Strange Collective do similar things to our delirious brains.
North West bastion of culture The Skinny premiered the video online, enthusing: “with nods to the city’s psych-soaked guitar pop tradition, they wallow in three minutes of hazily-askew loveliness; the perfect soundtrack to a sunspot-flecked landscape, lightly fogged with clouds of cheap marijuana smoke…Think Thee Oh Sees, think The Warlocks with a lengthy prescription for pep pills; this is a band who are solidly coming into their own.”
The real hero of the day ends up being drummer Sian Plummer as the poor owner of the shower, who we imagine will never feel clean again and was tasked with the unfortunate job of cleaning up the aftermath, as he laments: “It was only when I was forlornly clearing the soggy burger out of the shower that I realised the gravity of what we had just done”.
The track is the first to be taken from their debut EP ‘Super Touchy’ set for release via Salvation Records on 1st July 2016.
Further details of the EP and UK tour dates TBA.
