Rome, Italy-based multi-disciplinary artist and composer Thomas Giustini is pleased to announce his ambitious debut album COMPOSITIO, set for release on 9th October 2026 via renowned Italian independent label Musica Viva (EGEA Records).
Giustini’s forthcoming debut audio work COMPOSITIO is a massive multimedia project consisting of a 17-track album, 17 accompanying music videos, and a standalone feature-length film compiled from the individual videos themselves. Each track from the record will be released sequentially from now until the album’s release.
Of the ambitious debut, Giustini says: “This album was made during a particular moment, felt after a long time—an ancient idea that I had never managed to realise, until one day I found myself wanting to play it, make it real. The entire album came out like this all of a sudden, a flow.”
“This is my first release as a 23 year old making music as a self-taught artist after a personal study of my own sound, for many long years…maybe all my life. It is personal but also intrapersonal and universal, and it will continue to evolve even more over the course of my lifetime. COMPOSITIO is part of this—of a beginning, of me, musically. I don’t believe in definitions. Definitions only ruin the experience that is life itself. Everyone can try to define themselves properly, but in front of life itself, it becomes difficult to give it only one meaning. A beginning; part of a source. This is COMPOSITIO for me.”
Lead single ‘UNIVERSO’ is the opening track from the album and will be released on 22nd July 2026 via all good digital service providers.
Commenting on the track, Giustini says: “This composition is like an anchor of COMPOSITIO, where an energetic focal point is positioned. The track is united with the rest of the album both as a composition and also visually—‘UNIVERSO’ performs precisely that job: of affirming COMPOSITIO upon its continuum, its return, and its existence.”
“This track, like the whole project, is played live with sounds sampled from my own voice, lightly effected with granular and spectral synthesis. Played straight to the keyboard, the production was kept raw without any additional effects that would interfere with the listening experience.”
A 23-year-old, self-taught composer, artist, filmmaker, and fashion designer representing a new wave of multidisciplinary Gen Z creatives, Giustini spearheads every single dimension of his creative output where both creative execution and technical production are entirely owned, made, and meticulously crafted by the artist, blending distinct mediums into a singular, cohesive vision.
These are compositions created directly on keyboard, where every sound you’ll hear is played in real-time from Giustini’s own voice sampled through a synth, with the addition of fretless bass and plucked electric guitar, whilst the music itself ranges from classical and electronic elements all the way through to noise and experimental.
This same creative process has been extended, contaminated, replicated, in all of the accompanying visual elements for the album, which were directed, animated, and edited by Giustini: 17 videos for 17 tracks, combined into an entire feature-length film, which he describes as “a polyform mutating organism.”
Expanding the traditional scope of a music release, the project will also deploy anonymously across online communities through the official Alternate Reality Game (A.R.G) of COMPOSITIO, transforming the album rollout into an additional mysterious, cryptic collective journey for audiences to decode, listen, watch, and experience even further.
Plans are underway for a live immersive gallery experience that will showcase the new album in full along with the A/V elements of the project.
