Rome, Italy power-pop/hardcore collective FELDSPAR return today with their hook-heavy new single ‘Family Man’, released 11th September 2026 via Stage Dive Records.

A song about the slow death of the fire you once had, and the refusal to mistake resignation for maturity, the single is another standout cut of melodic punk showcasing the band’s new musical direction for this album, centering the vocals of new members Marianne Leoni and Viviana Di Bari.

Commenting on the track, front man Rick Zamurri says: “Family Man isn’t about having a family — it’s about the moment you watch someone who used to burn for something quietly give up. They bend, they sigh, they swallow, and one day they’ve settled for the exact life they swore they’d never live. It’s part warning, part wake-up call: it’s not too late to face it and walk away. We don’t need another martyr — we need people who can still laugh while it all goes down in flames.”

With an ever-shifting lineup, Feldspar are closer to a collective than a set band with a logo—people come in, people step back for a while, and a record gets made by whoever is in the room and has something to say.

“What that brought, more than anything, is voices,” says Zamurri of their effect on Soft Side. “This record is built on voices crossing each other rather than one person out front with a band behind them, and the more of them you have in the room the less any single one of them can hide. You stop writing a vocal line and start writing a conversation.”

The track is the latest to be taken from their new album, Soft Side, set for release on 9th October 2026 via Stage Dive Records, and follows on from early singles ‘Good Kids’ and ‘Heart Is A Ghetto’ which gained support from ALT PRESS, Brooklyn Vegan, New Noise Magazine and more.

Recorded, produced, and mixed by Jon Markson (The Story So Far, Drug Church, Quicksand) and assistant producer Alan Day (Four Year Strong) at Animal Farm Studio in Flemington, NJ, additional engineering on the album was done by Joe Rom, Chris Beeble, and Colton Krohn, with mastering by Mike Kalajian (Circa Survive, Neck Deep, The Bronx).

On new album Soft Side, Feldspar make their power-pop physical, transforming hooky immediacy with hardcore bite and muscle, blending an American rhythmic backbone with a British voice and an Italian heart.

Based in Rome, their music balances emotional clarity and melodic lift, pulling from bands like Momma and Wishy, while driving full-speed forward with the urgency of Militarie Gun and Koyo. Throughout Soft Side, there’s also a clear nod to the kinetic spirit of DC/Dischord tradition—think Jawbox and Fugazi.

At the center of it all is a striking vocal duality between Anna Portman’s airy delivery and Rick Zamurri’s scruffier edge; together they create a natural tension that gives the record its emotional charge.

The band will support Drug Church in Milan later this month, with dates in Modena and Rome also confirm, and further live dates TBA.
