WACO Announce New NHS Charity Single ‘Good Days’

27th March 2020

London cosmic punk rock quartet WACO are pleased to announce their return with a brand new single set for release on 27th April 2020 via Venn Records (Gold Key, Nervus, Marmozets and many more), the independent record label owned by UK punks Gallows.

The new single is called ‘Good Days’ and all proceeds from the track will go towards NHS Charities Together to support the National Health Service through the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

Due to the new social-isolation and lockdown measures affecting an increasing percentage of the world, WACO are calling on fans of the band and the general public to be involved in the official video for the song, which will be made from any home footage contributions they receive.

Produced by Steve Sears Jr at Monolith Studios, London, you can share, listen, and sing along to a private stream of the unreleased new single here and read the lyrics here.

Commenting on the idea, the band say: “The video will be made up of us all performing in our homes together, a bit like that old Feeder video. We need your entries back this week (or as soon as realistically possible). Thanks a lot you beautiful people!”

Contact the band on: contactwaco@gmail.com to submit your videos.

WACO shared the following guidelines for submissions:

– The weirder the better.
– Have a fucking great time, be creative, be yourself, make it unique.
– No coronavirus-related banter/masks/toilet roll/washing hands etc. (other fun masks are okay though!)
– You can film it yourself with your phone VERTICALLY. (I know it sounds weird, but please film vertically.)
– Housemates/pets are welcome too.
– Please sing the lyrics to the camera where you can.
– In the instrumental parts mosh/headbang/dance if you’d like.
– Stay woke.
